The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo: Kosovo honors the victims of September 11th in the United States of America
In a remembrance of the tenth terrorist attack anniversary of the September 11th 2001 in the United States of America, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo shall organize a memorial ceremony to honor the victims of this tragic day for the USA and the whole democratic world.
As a sign of honor for the victims and to sympathize with the survived ones, their families and great American nation, citizens of Prishtina are invited to light candles on Sunday on the 11th of September 2011 at 19:00 hrs in front of the Kosovo National Theatre, at Prishtina downtown.
Kosovo’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo to join the solidarity and honor the victims of the 11th of September, by reaffirming the spirit of partnership and mutual respect and by condemning terrorist attacks against freedom, democracy and advanced western world.
People of the Republic of Kosovo have now turned this anniversary into a remembrance day and the day of a respect to the United States of America, an essential ally of Kosovo’s statehood.
On this day, through the deeds of charity and joining of the people of different ages, beliefs and ethnic belonging, terrorist attack victims shall be honored in the entire world.
On the 11th of September 2001 approximately 3 thousand people died in the USA, including our own fellow countrymen, when terrorists hijacked four civil airplanes and flew over the Twin Towers of New York and to Pentagon. Fourth plane fell on the east of the Pennsylvanian state.
